By booking onto this course, you are consenting to your contact details being passed onto the trainer.
The training is organised by South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board Training Group and is targeted at all staff from all agencies who are working directly with children, or adults who are parents. Effective child protection depends not only on reliable and accepted procedures for all staff involved with children, but also on their skills, knowledge and judgement and the ability to work together co-operatively. Staff with lead roles in child protection require specialised training in order to carry out their work with abused children and families. Please note it is recommended to leave a minimum of 3 months between attending Introduction to Child Protection and Advanced Child Protection.

The training will cover -
• Types of neurodiverse conditions, diagnosis, strengths and challenges.
• Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism will be covered alongside other conditions that fall under the 'neurodiverse umbrella' and how these conditions overlap, and the impact on mental health.
• It will also look at reasonable adjustments, the law and strategies for the workplace / clients.
Our facilitators are experienced neurodiversity coaches and professionals, who are happy to adapt the session to suit your needs, and the needs of your organisation.
Anyone is welcome to attend - whether they themselves are neurodiverse, or manage or work alongside people with a neurodiverse condition - for example, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD or Autism.
We will also look at the overlaps with sensory processing and mental health, how this applies to colleagues and to the people you work with.
Participants can ask any questions they may have.
The session will be a mixture of listening and participating, and we will use real-life examples to stimulate discussion.
Participants report that this training is thought-provoking and engaging.
