Inter-Agency Child Protection. This one day training course is organised by South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board Training Group and is targeted at employees working directly with children who have completed °single° agency Child Protection i.e. e-learning CP and is facilitated by a South Gloucestershire Multi-agency Safeguarding Board Trainer. This multi-agency course is aimed at those who need to expand upon the knowledge gained from the e-learning module by increasing confidence and competence in order to contribute to inter-agency assessments and to undertake an assessment of risk when required. This course aims to give staff an opportunity to explore within a face to face, multi-agency environment, various aspects of child protection in order to enhance knowledge and awareness of the issues and the ability to respond appropriately to them. This course will also cover basic processes and procedures for making a referral to Children°s Social Care. Those that have frontline responsibility or are the designated safeguarding lead in their establishment should also undertake Advanced Inter-Agency Child Protection training. Please complete the Child Protection Awareness and Neglect E Learning before attending this training. Code: SGC/19/247 Learning through the Seasons (Summer) (£)

This course is aimed at anyone new or developing their outdoor skills, or those who have knowledge and want further inspiration to develop an all year round outdoor practice.

As summer develops we will look at how play and learning outdoors links in with this season.

We are often outdoors more at this time of year but what are children actually learning? And how can we support their experiences and play? We will introduce basic outdoor and woodland skills, simple tools, identifying risks, hazards and benefits to help you starting to develop your own practice in the natural environment. We will explore ideas to develop your confidence and knowledge working with children outdoors in the elements that the great British weather throws at us.

We will be outside whatever the weather. Waterproofs, stout walking boots/welly boots and warm clothing is advised.

This is the fourth of four standalone sessions offered throughout the academic year, based on the seasons.
