You have been identified as a setting with a language lead / language champion.

We would like to invite the language champion to join us for a session to explore what it means to be a language champion in your setting and how this benefits the children.

The initial session we would like to explore;

? The role of the language champion in your setting
? Any training the language champion attended
? Assessment tools –if you use them, which ones and how they are used?
? Discussion around language interventions.

The aim of this will be for you to share ideas with other language champions including ideas, resources and challenges faced.

** Users will not be able to attend this course if you have not completed the 'Mosaic Training - Adults Intermediate' session **

During this session your trainer will provide you with an introduction to Mosaic workflow and on how to complete and progress work within Mosaic. You’ll also get the opportunity to work through a Mosaic workflow process that you’ll be using in your day to day role.

This is a trainer-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams and the Mosaic Training Database.

** Users will not be able to attend this course if you have not completed the relevant Me Learning modules **

Mosaic Training – Adult Intermediate is designed to enable current AIS users to consolidate what they have learned through the Mosaic Me Learning, navigate around the system and to be competent with the basics that Mosaic has to offer.

This is an online course conducted virtually via Mocrosoft Teams, SharePoint and the Mosaic Training Database.

** Users will not be able to progress to ‘Mosaic Training – Adult Advanced’ until this course has been completed **

Do you provide staff with supervision in a social care setting? This one day workshop is designed to allow first-line managers of social care staff to understand what makes for effective staff supervision and to explore the key strategies and skills needed to make good supervision a reality within their own staff team/workplace. You will have an opportunity to discuss good practice, expectations of the process and skills required and how the supervision process links to wider occupational standards and requirements.

This course is relevant to all managers from social care agencies in the Statutory, Voluntary and Independent sectors within South Gloucestershire.

How will this course help me? Our course will take you through the practical steps of writing clear and concise records and writing sequential, powerful and rewarding reports ° whether they are briefing notes, chronologies, summaries, assessments, care plans, safeguarding investigation reports or court reports. We will show you how to tackle your writing with clarity and confidence. You will understand the importance of: ° defining your purpose; ° organising your evidence; ° thinking and structure; ° writing analytically; and ° presentation. We will also highlight the seven deadly sins of social care writing and recording and show you how to avoid them. The standard charge for this course is £80. An additional childminder SEND session to support understanding of Trauma for those that have completed or are undertaking the 7 SEND sessions (invite only)

These 50 minute coaching sessions with coaches will assist council staff in coming up with strategies and action plans to maintain and build their wellbeing and resilience. Unlike counselling which provides a safe space to explore worries and concerns, these confidential coaching sessions will help staff come up with individual plans to help them build their resilience, understand what they can do to enhance their wellbeing and overcome current and future obstacles. There are activities and exercises that wellbeing coaches can also give people to work through in their own time if they would find it useful.
