This three-part course is for any Teaching Assistants or Support Staff working within the Early Years in a Reception or Nursery class who would like to develop their knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
This three-part course will enable you to have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively support children within the EYFS.
Across the three sessions we will aim to explore the recent EYFS reforms, the 17 areas of learning, the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning, the role of the adult, the environment, observations and assessment.
We would like this course to be responsive to the needs of all those attending so in addition to any of the agreed focuses, we will also aim to explore any questions, ideas or suggestions those attending may have within each of the sessions.

It is aimed at all employees and managers of the Statutory, Voluntary and Independent sectors.
This is a workshop that is suitable for participants at all levels, mainly as an introduction to the issues, though it can also provide an update for staff who are already trained / more experienced in working with people with a personality disorder. It will draw upon personal experiences of receiving a personality disorder diagnosis and up to date evidence of helpful interventions and approaches.

This blended half day course is designed specifically for online delivery to smaller groups of participants. It covers what self-harm is, and why people might hurt themselves, as well as providing space to think about what a helpful response to someone who has hurt themselves might be. It has a strong emphasis on bringing the voices of people who use self-harm to the virtual room, and provides space and time for reflection. This course has been developed to either stand alone or complement others in a series of events, and utilises a range of tools to offer a participative online training experience.
Worksheets, handouts and copies of the presentation will be available to complement learning.
