This one day programme is intended for any individuals from the Council and staff from all Statutory, Voluntary and Independent sectors working with people with Epilepsy.

Non-care staff need only attend the morning session of this course.

The course is a combination of interactive discussion, demonstration and practice with equipment and group work.

The standard charge for this course is £115 per day. Please refer to our Course Charges on the Home page for information on discounts and exemptions

CS1 .This course has been tailored to suit the needs of Foster Carers, Adopters and Family Link Carers who look after children on a 24 hour basis. This is a certificated course, so please ensure you can arrive on time and attend all of the course.

Please could you ensure that you read the attached document to this course. It is a copy of Acorns COVID policy, which you must have read prior to attending. You will be asked to complete appendix 1 on arrival.

Tea and coffee will be available, but please note that lunch is not included. There are shops on the Oldland High Street, as well as Westcourt Drive

As of 1st August, we are making changes to our first aid training in line with further guidance and awarding body advice. This will be the following:

All participants attending any of our First Aid training courses will be required to bring a paper disposable 3 ply face mask, fabric masks / scarves will not be acceptable.

This mask will be mandatory to wear for all practical elements of the training, but is optional for the theory portion of the course.

Cadbury Heath Children’s Centre

This one-day course provides delegates with information and guidance on the legal frameworks relevant to self-neglect, including hoarding. It is targeted at all health & social care professionals who work with people who self-neglect.

Trainer:
Piers McNeil is an independent social worker with 20 years’ experience in a range of adult social care fields, including: learning disability, physical disability, and older persons mental health. Piers is also a qualified DoLS Best Interests Assessor and was previously a Court of Protection visitor. He was also previously employed as a local authority MCA/safeguarding lead. Piers has led practice forums for Best Interests Assessors and has designed and delivered training to a range of audiences

If you have an existing booking on a course, we will transfer your booking.
