A 3 hour workshop on recognising and helping children with anxiety. Looks at what is anxiety and have an understanding of anxiety. The different types of anxiety. How children are affected by anxious parents?

This course is the first module in the Direct Assessment and Intervention Skills training programme which provides the opportunity to understand child development theory and practice, the effect of trauma, grief and loss on children and young people, their parents and those affected by the vicarious nature of trauma. The programme will provide opportunities to share experiences, learn from colleagues and engage with credible strategies to promote protection, safeguarding and wellbeing for children and their families and carers. Each workshop will include theory, child development, assessment approaches and life case discussions. The standard charge for this course is £70 per day. This one day workshop aims to raise awareness and knowledge of the causes and impact of dementia on individuals, and to highlight ways in which staff can work positively and effectively with older people who are living with dementia. Do you need to update your IT skills but don't want to attend a full-day course? Bite-size IT sessions take place in the IT suite at the Kingswood Training Centre. The sessions last approx 90 minutes, with 4 sessions on each date

Excel exists to turn unwieldy impenetrable datasets into crisp, clean reports, literally in seconds. If you are having to number crunch huge lists, this is essential for you – and not a formula in sight! Who Should Attend? Users who are accustomed to working with large data sets and creating formulas. NOTE: Users should have a working knowledge of the areas covered in Excel Essentials prior to attending this course.

One Note is a digital notebook where you can store all your documents for a project - notes, emails, documents and share them with colleagues.  This introductory session will introduce One Note to you and show you the basics to set up a One Note notebook.

The standard charge for this session is £16.

Do you need to update your Microsfoft Word skills but don't want to attend a full-day course? This bite-size IT session takes place in the IT suite at the Kingswood Training Centre and lasts approx 90 minutes.  An introduction into using Word more effectively.
