This course will change your life!

It will help you to:
Understanding the development of Forest School and put the Forest School principles into practice.
Understand the co-ordination required for the Forest School programme.
Be able to confidently deliver Forest School sessions and reflect on practice.

This course is designed for those who would like to develop, set up and deliver Forest School programmes. This will enable leadership of Forest School programmes linked to child development. Through a combination of practical outdoor learning and indoor teaching, you will explore the benefits for children as child led learners for lifelong skills. This will enable you to deepen your knowledge and understanding, looking at the philosophy and ethos of the Forest School approach.

• 2 skill assessment days complete a portfolio of work.

• Research and read a wide range of materials.
• Access to South Glos Skills Share Network and ongoing support.
• Access to Cambium sustainable support moodle with huge amounts of resources and information.

• Are Friendly, supportive and knowledgeable.
• Work with you from where you are on your journey
• Have a variety of experience working with all ages of children in Forest School Settings, specialising in supporting early years children with additional needs.
• Are realistic with the site and venue offered to meet your needs.
• Are associate trainers with Cambium sustainable, one of the first Forest School training organisations established in the UK and who have the largest network of accredited trainers in the UK

Cost – £885 per place
Venue – Parkwall School, Cadbury Heath, South Glos
Dates – 6th 7th 10th 11th 12th 13th October and 8th 9th November 2022

Entry requirements: All delegates must be over 21, have a relevant Level 2 qualification, have a current DBS check, have an appropriate First Aid qualification and have an established link with a client group and a Forest School site.

We are part of the Cambium Trainers Network. The Cambium Network has trainers in many parts of the UK. We cooperate in Continuing Professional Development, standardisation of assessment and feedback, submission of work to Agored Cymru (Formerly OCN Wales) awarding body and internal and external quality assurance.

Trainers meet regularly to discuss the latest developments, and to exchange ideas, skills and techniques and to play for the future. Most members of the Cambium Network provide services directly to schools and other bodies wishing to engage with the expanding use of Forest School, Outdoor Learning and Coastal School techniques in early years, primary and secondary education.
