Event description
Early Years Practitioners working in Early Years Settings.

Only 1 person per setting can attend.

During the course we will explore how the outdoor environment in particular, helps children to self regulate, through co-regulation with an emotionally available adult.

We will unpick factors that affect behaviour and dysregulation through discussion and consider strategies and approaches to support children in an outdoor environment. We will have an opportunity to observe to observe children playing, consider types of play, resources to support play, provocations, and continuous provision outdoors.

This is a self reflective course that also looks at challenging the traditional way we think of behaviour management. Come prepared to be open, discuss, share thoughts and move forward.

This is a practical session and we will be working both outdoors and indoors whatever the weather, so come dressed accordingly.

Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch
