The concept of Race and Racism is now firmly back in the public domain with emotive opinion overpowering with few having knowledge of the historical figures who created the concept.
This session introduces participants to the Lineage Timeline, a display of a 9,000 year continuum displaying the historical relationship between European & African Civilisations and will show in context Peter Fryer’s three-phase development of the Race Theories and a who’s who of the designers whose work still influences us today.
Learning outcomes
Participants will gain historical knowledge as a foundation for building or reinforcing their personal confidence & professional competence in the area of Race Awareness
