Event description
When faced with the challenging behaviours of a traumatised child we can become amongst other things, irritable, anxious, hopeless and overwhelmed. The intensity of the stress can make us feel inadequate, manipulated, exhausted and depressed. Gill Tree, founder of Adoption Academy is a master practitioner in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and provided stress management training for 22 years. She also founded and owned for 22 years, the UK’s largest school of massage. She was a respite foster carer for 2 years prior to adoption in 2011 and is now focusing on therapeutic touch and resilience programmes for adoptive parents and foster carers. Gill is a member of the International Stress Management Association. Writer for Adoption Today and Adoption UK Trainer

How is zoom different?

This webinar will be provided via zoom where you can see the trainer and chat with other participants. whilst also viewing the powerpoint. It will include three breakout sessions, allowing you to go into small groups to work on activities and discuss issues. This facility makes the course really friendly, fun and the training experience feels very similar to a live course. It is easy for participants to join in and ask questions because they can see each other.

The trainer can visit each break-out room, send each group messages and participants can request help whilst there. We also programme in a fifteen minute morning and afternoon break and a lunch break of 30-40 minutes.
