Event description
This course is for experienced practitioners who would like to develop their knowledge of research methods and use them to:
· Reflect on the setting’s practice
· Deepen understanding of how children learn
· Use as a self-evaluation tool
· Inform changes
· Improve outcomes for children
· Capture children’s voices
· Involve parents
Are you planning to make changes in your setting?
Have you considered using a research method to help you capture staff comments, children’s voices, parent’s views and your key findings?
This session will share ideas and suggestions that will help you undertake research and use this as part of your self-evaluation processes.
If you are new to research why not give it a try? It does not have to be daunting and can be on a small scale.
Learning outcomes
“Children taking part in research offers a way of finding out what they like and what works best. Practice can then be adapted to better suit their needs, improving wellbeing”. Rachel Bosley
