73% of children have an online presence by the time they are 2 (AVG 2010)
96% of parents believe it is their responsibility to keep their children safe online but 70% struggle to do this

Learning outcomes
This network for staff working in early years settings will look at:
- Background and context – how this area links to the EYFS and latest legislation and guidelines
- Current trends and research into the effects of technology on young children including screen time
- Working with staff and families to promote awareness of how to keep themselves and others safe online
- Toolkits and resources available including guidance for managers and guidance for practitioners.
