Event description
This course is aimed at practitioners who are new to outdoor play and learning and those wishing to develop their understanding of why and how we can incorporate storytelling and literacy in the outdoors.

We will be supporting you to develop your imagination and creativity in sharing stories with children whilst outdoors. This will include books, props, natural resources and everyday objects. This will also focus on how to inspire children’s literacy and mastery of storytelling.

You will reflect on outdoor spaces where children can read, write, act, reason, communicate and ponder. This will be an active session so come prepared to think and act like a child and take part.

We will be outside whatever the weather. Waterproofs, stout walking boots/welly boots and warm clothing is advised.
