This 90-minute accredited training is immediately helpful to ANY staff who support people in the community.
The session is run by the WARM & WELL PROJECT which is funded by South Gloucestershire Council. Warm & Well also offer free energy advice and home visits, and grants for insulation, heating and boiler replacements (subject to funding and eligibility criteria).
Learning outcomes
Attendees will:
* learn how to assist service users to save energy and money while keeping warmer and healthier at home
* be able to signpost and refer householders to appropriate support
* understand what is meant by fuel poverty, its causes and effects, and how it is measured
* understand how to identify those at risk of fuel poverty, and lessen its effects
* understand the main uses of energy in the home
