Would you like more ideas and to develop your confidence and knowledge working with children outdoors in all the elements the great British weather throws at us? This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the year looking at how play and learning outdoors links in with the seasons.
We will look at different types of play and learning to support child development. We will introduce basic woodland skills, using tools, identifying risks, hazards and benefits to help you to start developing your own practice in the natural environment.
This is a QCF accredited course through Cambium. After completion of all 5 workshops you will have a work book to hand in, in order to complete the course and achieve the Level 1 Award in Outdoor Learning (QCF) – 5 Credits.
This course does not qualify you to run Forest School sessions. Other training courses are available.
This course is aimed at practitioners who would like to start their outdoor journey, building knowledge and confidence. This will develop Outdoor Learning and Forest School awareness and practice.
None, however DBS and suitable first aid qualification is advised.
