This half day course provides a comprehensive introduction to the autism spectrum. Recognising and understanding the key areas of difficulty experienced by individuals on the autism spectrum is vital to providing effective support. This course is aimed at staff working in agencies in the Statutory, Voluntary and Independent sector in South Gloucestershire who are directly or indirectly supporting individuals with autism and people who come into contact with adults with autism in their work.
This course is delivered by The National Autistic Society and will be made up of tutor presentation, audio visual material, 'real life' example, discussion, group exercises and question and answer. You will be given a comprehensive set of notes.
