During this session your trainer will provide you with an introduction to Mosaic workflow and on how to complete and progress work within Mosaic. You’ll also get the opportunity to work through a Mosaic workflow process that you’ll be using in your day to day role.

During this session you'll get the opportunity to practice what was covered in the online 'Me-Learning' by logging into the Mosaic Training Database and completing a series of tasks which will be explained to you in short video demonstrations. The tasks will include recording basic person details and updating running records.

This is a self-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams, the CAH Learning Portal and the Mosaic Training Database.

As a setting with a high number of children entitled to 2yr funding and / or Early Years Pupil Premium, we would like to invite you to our locality-based disadvantage network, based at the Children’s Centre.

We will be discussing the challenges faced by families in your area and the impact this has on your setting. We will be exploring how we can creatively work together to share our knowledge, skills, and expertise to improve outcomes for children.

As of 1st August, we are making changes to our first aid training in line with further guidance and awarding body advice. This will be the following:

All participants attending any of our First Aid training courses will be required to bring a 3 ply face mask, fabric masks / scarves will not be acceptable

This mask will be mandatory to wear for all practical elements of the training, but is optional for the theory portion of the course

This is a one day course for participants to develop the skills necessary to provide emergency first aid to someone who has an accident or suddenly becomes ill at work. Participants will be trained and assessed during the course in order to receive a certificate. Please note - you will be required to complete 3 practical assessments and a multiple choice test. You need to bring Photo ID eg passport, driving licence. If these are not available please bring your Work ID with photo If you require assistance with reading/writing please let the use know prior to the start of the course.

Acorn Health & Safety have recently revised their guidance regarding the wearing of face masks. From 1st August 2020, it will be mandatory to wear face masks during practical elements of the course however delegates may choose to wear the mask throughout the course.

This applies to our First Aid and Manual Handling courses, where 2m social distancing cannot be maintained.

If you are attending any of our courses, please can you ensure you bring your own 3 ply face mask (Please see examples of approved mask style below). Fabric masks and face coverings are not acceptable for practical elements.



This one day course provides adult social care staff who are responsible for moving people, with basic information and skills at an introductory level.The course is designed for anyone working in a care setting who are required to move people within their role. Please make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear as there is a practical aspect to this training.

This network is for Early Career Teachers and Teachers who are new to or returning to working within Reception classes or Nursery Classes in South Gloucestershire Schools.

Are you new to teaching and find yourself in a Reception class? Are you working in the EYFS for the first time?
Are you an experienced teacher returning to EYFS?

Across the three sessions we will aim to explore the key reforms within the EYFS as well as looking at; effective practice, developing an enabling environment and the observation, assessment and planning cycle.

This network is facilitated by the Early Years Advisers.

As the recruiting manager you’re at the centre of the process, driving the process to recruit the best person to meet your job needs. You have the insight and knowledge of how the role fits into the overall team, and what is needed to effectively perform this. This webinar will give you an understanding of good the skills required in remote recruitment and selection. It will include advert writing, candidate attraction, using CVs in selection and the council’s new recruitment system. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss how remote recruitment differs from face to face recruitment in terms of shortlisting and interviewing and gain advice on your own recruitment practices. We will also cover unconscious bias and how to promote equality within recruitment.
