Professionals often panic when faced with sexualised behaviour from children and young people. This training is designed to give professionals an insight into this behaviour, its causes, when to really be concerned, risks and how to react appropriately.
Polaris Children’s Services are now running a service in South Gloucestershire for people displaying harmful sexual behaviour.

The session will aim to build a better understanding of what self-harm is, why people turn towards self-harm behaviours and what signs and indicators there are for self-harm behaviours.
The course will also help you to develop understanding around helping to support someone who is self-harming and best practice response.
The key aim is to build confidence, reduce stigma and create a better response to individuals who self-harm.
The trainer has requested that attendees have their cameras on during the session to ensure attendance and help with engagement.
The session will be interactive – with lots of opportunities for discussion.

This session will cover the role and function of the Green Belt (GB) as set out in Government Policy, the extent of GB in South Gloucestershire and our existing planning policies. Officers will also explain the process by which Green Belt is assessed under the Government’s planning rules and what work is being undertaken to support our new Local Plan.
