Code: SGC/19/181 Early Years Safeguarding Responsibilities (L&M Support Programme) (cf) (Cancelled)

How confident are you that your staff are secure in their safeguarding knowledge? How do you monitor your safeguarding practice?

In a rapidly changing world, where the key priority is to safeguard and protect children, are you and your staff fully aware of your responsibilities in this area? If you are a leader, manager, deputy, safeguarding lead or deputy, this course will help you to reflect on safeguarding practice in your setting. It will draw on current guidance along with the Local Authority safeguarding audit to assist with planning for the effective monitoring of safeguarding practice.

This course, aimed at managers and deputies, will help you to reflect on current practice and provide practical strategies to have a positive impact on your setting. This course is ideal for practitioners new to leadership and management; deputies seeking to develop skills; and experienced leaders seeking to refresh and develop their skills and understanding.

This is a stand-alone course which is one of 7 leadership and management sessions offered throughout the year. Together they will provide valuable support to leaders and managers. In addition, supporting materials are available on the VLE to further supplement knowledge and understanding of this subject.
