AIS Training – Adult Advanced is designed to build on what was learned in the AIS Intermediate session by covering 3 Conversations. This includes Assessments, Plans, Reviews and case closure among other elements.

AIS Training – Adult Intermediate is designed to enable users new to SGC AIS to consolidate what they have learned through the AIS eLearning, navigate around the system and to be competent with the basics that AIS has to offer.

** You will not be able to attend this course if you have not completed Children’s – Mosaic Intermediate**

During this session your trainer will provide you with an introduction to Mosaic workflow and on how to complete and progress work within Mosaic. You’ll also get the opportunity to work through a Mosaic workflow process that you’ll be using in your day to day role.

This is a trainer-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams and the Mosaic Training Database.

In response to this aim and the Statutory guidance, we are mindful that there will be changes to our current assessment practices and have been working in partnership with our Early Adopter schools, developing a number of possible assessment models that will be shared and discussed.

This session is open to all setting managers, SENCOs and Childminders.

• How members deal with concerns at service performance
• The required standards of conduct and behaviour
• Dealing with personal and confidential information
• How members can use casework as an evidence base for change and challenge
• Sensitive issues including disclosure and personal safety

In your work with the public, would you know how to spot the signs of human trafficking and modern slavery? - Would you know what to do about it? Did you know that public authorities have a statutory duty to notify the home office under Section 52 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015?

The training covers:

• What trafficking and slavery are
• Nature and scale of the issue – nationally, regionally, locally
• Types of trafficking and slavery and how to identify them
• Legal definitions
• Working with potential victims
• Victim and survivors perspective
• How to interview and engage with vulnerable persons, safeguarding approach
• The National Referral Mechanism – what it is and completing it
• Processes to follow and things to consider
• Your agencies responsibilities
• Case studies and practice identifying potential victims.

Please note this course is free of charge for South Glos employees and those organisations who contribute to the South Glos Safeguarding Board. For anyone else there is a £30 charge.

The multi-agency South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Adults Board oversees the Joint Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults in this area. It is essential that a wide range of staff working in local authority, health and social care agencies are fully aware of the key issues in safeguarding vulnerable adults and of how the policy affects them in their front-line roles. The half-day Raising Safeguarding Concerns course is essential training for all front-line staff and managers who are involved in providing services to adults at risk and who work directly with service users. The course content is mapped to the learning outcomes in the local Safeguarding Adults Training Standards (published Dec 2017) as well as to relevant national occupational standards including the Care Certificate (Standard 10). Course attendance is monitored by the Safeguarding Adults Board. The standard charge for this course is £40. These 50 minute coaching sessions with coaches will assist council staff in coming up with strategies and action plans to maintain and build their wellbeing and resilience. Unlike counselling which provides a safe space to explore worries and concerns, these confidential coaching sessions will help staff come up with individual plans to help them build their resilience, understand what they can do to enhance their wellbeing and overcome current and future obstacles. There are activities and exercises that wellbeing coaches can also give people to work through in their own time if they would find it useful.
