During this session your trainer will provide you with an introduction to Mosaic workflow and on how to complete and progress work within Mosaic. You’ll also get the opportunity to work through a Mosaic workflow process that you’ll be using in your day to day role.

This is a trainer-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams and the Mosaic Training Database.

During this session you'll get the opportunity to practice what was covered in the online 'Me-Learning' by logging into the Mosaic Training Database and completing a series of tasks which will be explained to you in short video demonstrations. The tasks will include recording basic person details and updating running records.

This is a self-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams, the CAH Learning Portal and the Mosaic Training Database.

In your work with the public, would you know how to spot the signs of human trafficking and modern slavery? - Would you know what to do about it? Did you know that public authorities have a statutory duty to notify the home office under Section 52 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015?

The training covers:

• What trafficking and slavery are
• Nature and scale of the issue – nationally, regionally, locally
• Types of trafficking and slavery and how to identify them
• Legal definitions
• Working with potential victims
• Victim and survivors perspective
• How to interview and engage with vulnerable persons, safeguarding approach
• The National Referral Mechanism – what it is and completing it
• Processes to follow and things to consider
• Your agencies responsibilities
• Case studies and practice identifying potential victims.

Please note this course is free of charge for South Glos employees and those organisations who contribute to the South Glos Safeguarding Board. For anyone else there is a £30 charge.

This half day course is an annual refresher for individuals working in adult social care settings where they have responsibilities for moving people. This course will enable you to build on your existing knowledge and practice. Delegates will be expected to demonstrate how they move people and share knowledge through working on scenarios This course is designed to be a refresher for anyone working in adult social care with responsibilities for moving people and attendees. Delegates from partner agencies will need to evidence that they have attended a manual handling course in the previous 18 months. Please make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear as there is a practical aspect to this training.

This will be delivered via Zoom and hosted by Suzanne Pearson. 

South Glos Council employees: if you don't already have Zoom please see attached instructions.

A community based course to increase awareness and challenge stigma about mental health that participants can draw upon in their day-to-day lives and work.

The views of people with ‘lived’ experience of emotional or mental health issues are central to informing the course content as well as up to date research evidence. This course is currently free to everyone.

The course is suitable for anyone including staff and volunteers from a variety of settings working with Adults, and/or Children and Families, who wish to learn more about mental health. It consists of a mixture of factual presentation, small group work and large group discussion within agreed ground rules of confidentiality and respecting each other’s points of view. There are extensive handouts available

The trainer Suzanne Pearson is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and CBT therapist with experience of working in the NHS and voluntary sector. She is a qualified adult trainer with extensive experience of delivering high quality mental health training to a range of participants and organisations. She is a Mental Health First Aid instructor (Standard and Youth courses) and an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) trainer.

This woman’s leadership development programme seeks to address the under representation of women in management roles. Women in Leadership builds confidence, informal networks and develops an understanding of women as future leaders. 

This three day programme will provide participants with an opportunity to focus on your personal and professional goals and give ongoing support to achieve them. The workshop is fun and interactive, and considers themes such as self-awareness, personal impact and influence, and leadership styles As an online course it will contain a mixture of discussions and self-study as well as essential pre-course work. It is written so people at all stages of their careers can benefit from it.

This inspiring and engaging programme is for existing female managers who wish to progress in their careers or aspiring managers and leaders and covers self-leadership, personal impact and influence as a leader and inspirational women and leadership.
 
Please note: This is a women only programme.

This course is free to South Gloucestershire Council staff.  For all external delegates there is a charge of £350.
