The session will aim to build a better understanding of what self-harm is, why people turn towards self-harm behaviours and a brief overview on how to respond to disclosures.

The key aim is to build confidence, reduce stigma and create a better response to individuals who self-harm.

4 Young people set up Barnardos HYPE Blog in April 2020 to provide peer support through the lockdown.

The Blog is written by young people and edited by young people in Bristol & Plymouth.

The workshop will be run by Freya one of the founder members and editor in Bristol and Emily editor in Plymouth.

The workshop will inspire creativity, new ideas and a community of peer support.

Attending the workshop will enable you to have a blog posted on a recognised blog post seen by 2000 young people, and to earn one of our online badges from Aspire.

Conversational coaching can be used as a way of helping someone to establish a desired change – be that in thinking or behaviour, to help them make the best possible decision about a given situation, look at an issue from a new perspective, find a solution to a problem or simply just trigger a new or more positive pattern of thinking. You can use conversational coaching in many different situations. You can use it in your capacity as a manager, a friend, a colleague, a parent and many others.

This workshop will be delivered as a webinar via Zoom

These 50 minute coaching sessions with coaches will assist council staff in coming up with strategies and action plans to maintain and build their wellbeing and resilience. Unlike counselling which provides a safe space to explore worries and concerns, these confidential coaching sessions will help staff come up with individual plans to help them build their resilience, understand what they can do to enhance their wellbeing and overcome current and future obstacles. There are activities and exercises that wellbeing coaches can also give people to work through in their own time if they would find it useful.

Please note these sessions will be delivered by skype or telephone.  Your coach will contact you to confirm the best method for you.
