These half day sessions are for all EYFS leaders, teachers and teaching assistants working in Reception who are committed to developing teaching and learning in order to improve outcomes for all children.

This course is an opportunity for all practitioners in Reception to come together and explore good practice in Early Years.

How do you motivate, challenge and inspire children every day?

We will explore quality first teaching in Reception, providing you with practical ideas to use in your school in order to achieve the Early Learning Goals and beyond.

This course is the second module in the Direct Assessment and Intervention Skills training programme which provides the opportunity to understand child development theory and practice, the effect of trauma, grief and loss on children and young people, their parents and those affected by the vicarious nature of trauma. The programme will provide opportunities to share experiences, learn from colleagues and engage with credible strategies to promote protection, safeguarding and wellbeing for children and their families and carers. Each workshop will include theory, child development, assessment approaches and life case discussions. The standard charge for this course is £70 per day. Child Protection Update Effective child protection depends not only on reliable and accepted procedures for all staff involved with children, but also on their skills, knowledge and judgment and the ability to work together co-operatively. Staff with lead roles in child protection require specialised training in order to carry out their work with abused children and families.

This is a one day course for participants to develop the skills necessary to provide emergency first aid to someone who has an accident or suddenly becomes ill at work. Participants will be trained and assessed during the course in order to receive a certificate. Please note - you will be required to complete 3 practical assessments and a multiple choice test. You need to bring Photo ID eg passport, driving licence. If these are not available please bring your Work ID with photo If you require assistance with reading/writing please let the use know prior to the start of the course.

This network is aimed at pre-school and nursery leaders and managers including experienced leaders and those new to the role. Keeping up to date with local and national information is a challenge for all leaders and managers. These networks will provide leaders and managers with a range of experiences and opportunities to come together to share information and to engage in professional discussion and dialogue. Meetings will be structured to provide: • Local and national updates • An opportunity to discuss and explore a current early years topic or theme • An opportunity for practitioners to share good practice and learn from each other
