This is a one day course for participants to develop the skills necessary to provide emergency first aid to someone who has an accident or suddenly becomes ill at work. Participants will be trained and assessed during the course in order to receive a certificate. Please note - you will be required to complete 3 practical assessments and a multiple choice test. You need to bring Photo ID eg passport, driving licence. If these are not available please bring your Work ID with photo If you require assistance with reading/writing please let the use know prior to the start of the course.

The Makaton Follow-up course is a practical workshop for anyone who has completed Makaton Beginners 1&2 and would like to learn stages 5 – 8.

The Makaton Follow-Up Workshop helps you to improve and develop your signing and symbol skills and how to use them effectively every day. You will revise the signs and symbols you learned during the Beginners Workshop and learn the signs and symbols for Stages 5 – 8 of the Core Vocabulary.

You will receive a certificate of attendance and booklet which includes signs and symbols when you have attended all sessions. Once completed you can attend Makaton Networks for continuing professional development, sharing ideas, strategies, signs and symbols.
