This study day will explore the legislative and statutory guidance for adult safeguarding, alongside good practice guidelines and principles relevant for AMHP practice.

Relevant policy and research will be explored, as well as looking at Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and overall AMHPs responsibilities under safeguarding when undertaking mental health act assessments.

This is a 1-day course that covers all of the national Common Core Principles for Dignity, and explores ways to apply these in the workplace to ensure your service is properly supporting people's dignity and respect. The course is designed as essential induction training for all new Care & Ancillary staff and Personal Assistants and a refresher for existing staff. This network is aimed at pre-school and nursery leaders and managers including experienced leaders and those new to the role. Keeping up to date with local and national information is a challenge for all leaders and managers. These networks will provide leaders and managers with a range of experiences and opportunities to come together to share information and to engage in professional discussion and dialogue. Meetings will be structured to provide: • Local and national updates • An opportunity to discuss and explore a current early years topic or theme • An opportunity for practitioners to share good practice and learn from each other

YOU WILL NEED TO ATTEND A RAISING SAFEGUARDING CONCERNS COURSE BEFORE ATTENDING THIS TRAINING. Managers of agencies that provide services for adults at risk must ensure they lead a "safe service", with competent staff and an organisational culture that safeguards adults. This 1-day workshop will help delegates to understand and be accountable for the key factors in managing and preventing organisational abuse in the services they lead and/or review. This session will be a repeat of the one running on 21st November 2018.

This network is for all practitioners and room leaders who work with two year olds. As a network we aim to be responsive to the needs of the group on an ongoing basis. In addition, each session will include a specific focus.

Each session will aim to include any current research and thinking and will provide you with opportunities to problem solve any issues you may be experiencing through discussion with fellow practitioners.

This 1-day workshop run by Research in Practice is specifically for: South Gloucestershire Council Children Services Managers, and Social Workers.

Content includes: * Analysis: key to outcome planning * Critiquing analysis and hypothesis * Outcome planning: SMART and directly related, restorative, self as a resource, increasing meaningful impact * Impact on child, parent, carer, social worker, manager (group work) * Measuring: Qualitatively (indicators/research/observations) and Quantitatively (data and timescales)
