Code: SGC/23/0536 Avon Pension Fund - Investment Strategy & Net Zero

The Avon Pension Fund (APF) serves 4 unitary authorities including South Gloucestershire.

This discussion, led by Nick Dixon as Head of APF, will explore the Fund’s investments strategy and how it is progressing towards net zero. Mr. Dixon will also set out difficult trade-off choices faced by the APF and welcome opinion from Councillors on how these could be addressed, to inform the Fund’s upcoming review of investment strategy and its revised climate change targets.

As the Council’s representative on the Avon Pension Fund Committee, this is an opportunity for Councillor colleagues to get an insight into how and why the Fund makes investments, particularly in light of climate change concerns, and to let them know your views on this.
