Code: SGC/22/1051 Advanced Child Protection (Cancelled)

The training is organised by South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board Training Group and is targeted at all staff from all agencies who are working directly with children, or adults who are parents. Effective child protection depends not only on reliable and accepted procedures for all staff involved with children, but also on their skills, knowledge and judgement and the ability to work together co-operatively. Staff with lead roles in child protection require specialised training in order to carry out their work with abused children and families. Please note it is recommended to leave a minimum of 3 months between attending Introduction to Child Protection and Advanced Child Protection.


Requirements for training via Zoom:

  • Participants must be provided with protected time, in an environment free from all work-related duties and distractions to successfuly complete the training
  • Participants require access to a camera and microphone to be able to fully engage in the session
  • On the day of training, should the above requirements not be possible, participants should rebook for a different date when they are able to meet the requirements, failure to full engage in the session may result in non-issue of certificate and a request to repeat the training session.

Requirements for face-to-face training:
  • Participants must arrive on time and allow time for parking.
  • Participants should attend the full training day, participants should be rebook for a different date if they are unable to attend the full day.

During this session your trainer will provide you with an introduction to Mosaic workflow and on how to complete and progress work within Mosaic. You’ll also get the opportunity to work through a Mosaic workflow process that you’ll be using in your day to day role.

This is a trainer-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams and the Mosaic Training Database.

During this session you'll get the opportunity to practice what was covered in the online 'Me-Learning' by logging into the Mosaic Training Database and completing a series of tasks which will be explained to you in short video demonstrations. The tasks will include recording basic person details and updating running records.

This is a self-led virtual course conducted via Microsoft Teams, the CAH Learning Portal and the Mosaic Training Database.
** You will not be able to progress to ‘Children’s – Mosaic Advanced’ until this course has been completed**

Code: SGC/22/1141 Draft Updated Local Flood Risk Management Strategy - Presentation to Members (1st Date)

The Flood and Water Management team are pleased to confirm that following a 3 month Public Consultation earlier this year, they now have a draft updated Local Flood Risk Management Strategy which they would like to present to Members ahead of it going to Cabinet in the Autumn.

They appreciate that not all Members will be able to make the presentations so will aim to email the key Strategy documents out to everyone ahead of the first presentation and if you do have any queries/observations regarding the draft Strategy please feed them back to leadlocalfloodauthority@southglos.gov.uk before 31st July.

This presentation is being delivered on two different dates – 21st July and 26th July – please only accept one Outlook appointment for the date that suits you best.
