Code: SGC/22/1064 Introduction to The Fostering Network's Pilot Mockingbird Programme (VIRTUAL)

In 2021, South Gloucestershire Council was successful in its bid to join the innovative Fostering Network’s Mockingbird programme.

We are excited to be developing and delivering this programme and would like to give you a more detailed overview of the Mockingbird South Gloucestershire Pilot Project and how it will work in practice. We hope to launch the pilot project in Winter 2022 and are now at the point of looking to recruit to the roles within this first pilot structure.

During this virtual information session we will

  • tell you more about the Mockingbird model
  • share information on how it has worked nationwide and the benefits it has bought for foster carers, children, young people, and families involved
  • talk through the Home Hub Carer role and the ‘constellation’ structure

Code: SGC/22/0964 Wellbeing Coaching - South Glos staff only (Emily Loveday)

These 50 minute coaching sessions with coaches will assist council staff in coming up with strategies and action plans to maintain and build their wellbeing and resilience. Unlike counselling which provides a safe space to explore worries and concerns, these confidential coaching sessions will help staff come up with individual plans to help them build their resilience, understand what they can do to enhance their wellbeing and overcome current and future obstacles. There are activities and exercises that wellbeing coaches can also give people to work through in their own time if they would find it useful.

Please note these sessions will be delivered by skype or telephone.  Your coach will contact you to confirm the best method for you.
