This course is designed to give you the knowledge to become a Breakthrough mentor; Breakthrough mentoring supports people to develop positive experiences and relationships, enabling them to achieve, grow and develop new skills and to realise their full potential. So what is a mentor? A Breakthrough mentor is someone who works alongside a vulnerable person (mentee) to empower them to become independent and live a fulfilled life. They will work individually with the mentee, using activities that engage and motivate them to gain confidence, self-belief and work towards independence. What type of person are we looking for? Our placements are unique and varied, which requires us to have a diverse group of mentors.
