Code: SGC/18/051 *Youth Mental Health First Aid (2 day)*

Youth Mental Health First Aid will teach you the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues in a young person, offer first aid and guide them towards the support they need. In doing so, you can speed up a young person’s recovery and stop a mental health issue from getting worse. Our courses won't teach you to be a therapist - but just like physical first aid, we will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.

Code: SGC/18/985 Business Continuity Management Training Briefing

This is the Councils annual Business Continuity Management training briefing for Service Managers/ Team Leaders working in the council's Children, Adults & Health department. Business Continuity Management (BCM) is about identifying those parts of your service that you can’t afford to lose – such as People, Premises, Technology, Information, and suppliers/partners and planning how to maintain these, if an incident occurs. Any incident, large or small, whether it is natural, accidental or deliberate, can cause major disruption to your service. But if you plan ahead, rather than waiting for it to happen, you will be able to get back to business in the quickest possible time. Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessment will enable you to better understand your service and build your service continuity capability. Business Impact Analysis (BIA) A BIA identifies and documents your key products and services; the critical activities required to deliver these; the impact that a disruption of these activities would have on your organisation; and the resources required to resume the activities. The Councils annual training briefing outlines: - The Councils business continuity arrangements - The structures used to manage business continuity events & associated plans. - Activation of the Councils & Departmental business continuity arrangements and - The role and composition of the Business Recovery Team & Senior Management Teams
