This workshop is run by Gill Smith and Doug Binfield a Primary Mental Health Specialist, they have many years of experience across CAMHS and Children’s services. They will guide you through to better understand anxiety and emotional based school avoidance and support you with tips and tools to support your work with Children and Families. You will also be signposted to further organisations and support.

Learning outcomes
An understanding of anxiety and EBSA what it is and how it impacts young people. An understanding of referral routes and community support. This workshop is aimed primarily at those working with secondary age students; however the principles and practices can be applied to primary pupils. We (CAMHS/PMHS's) do also run an anxiety in 5-11 years workshop.
