PLEASE CLICK HERE TO JOIN MEETING A four day course for new Social Work Practice Educators. Participants will need to be Social Workers with a minimum two years post qualifying experience and approval from their team manager.
New Practice educators will be required to work towards the Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) stage one, whilst working with their first student.
(Additional training for 3hrs per session Introduction 12th May 2022 9.30 - 12.30 & Check In 24th August 2022 - 10am - 11.00 MS Teams - using the same link above)
Learning outcomes
This course provides social work practiceeducators with the knowledge to:-
- Be able to organise opportunities for a social workstudent to demonstrate assessed competence in practice
- Be able to enable a social work student to learn and develop professional practice
- Be able to manage the assessment of learners in practice
- Be able to work collaboratively with HEI’s tosupport student learning and assessment
- Understand the professional development requirements for PEPS Stage 1
