Event description
The Training, Support and Development Standards (TSDS) are a mandatory national requirement for all Foster Carers, Family & Friends Carers and Short Break Carers.

They are induction standards and need to be completed at the start of your caring career. To ensure that you are aware of the amount and type of evidence, skills and knowledge you need to provide, come along to one of these friendly informal workshops.

Due to this being delivered virtually it is likely that the sessin will probably last no more than an hour, but we will allow up to two hours for you to be able to ask questions etc.

We are unable to give you a full copy of a completed TSDS to look at, but if you are stuck for what to write for a particular section, if you could let me catherine.charlton@southglos.gov.uk , know before hand  I will source some examples to share with you during this session.
Learning outcomes

To know what the TSDS are, and understand the timeframes for completion (different standards and completion time for family and friends carers).
To understand the level and amount of information needed.
To feel more confident to start completing the standards, and assertive enough to ask for help when needed.
To start making personal notes in the session to go towards your standards.
