Event description
This is the ideal place to start for professional management development. This engaging one day blended course will enable you to reflect on your management role and responsibilities as well as and the organisational and departmental context of your role. You will have the opportunity to discuss behaviours, skills and attitudes of effective managers and leaders and what is expected of you as an individual.

We believe that management development has foundations in self awareness and understanding your style. We will work with you to identify how you work best, what you bring to a team and the areas you need to develop in order to meet council expectations, as well as the behaviours set out in the council values and behaviours framework. We will consider personality, learning styles, performance requirements and different leadership models to help you build a continuing professional development plan as a manager.

Costs:  External delegates - £80
South Glos Council employees - £50
