Event description
The Early Years have undergone significant changes during Covid-19. The emotional needs and behaviours of our children has informed our priorities, to nurture and co-regulate our children through this turbulent time. This has required secure and trusted relationships and a heightened awareness of connection. The extent of loss our children have endured, including loss of freedom, structure, routine, connections, relationships and even lives, is of particular concern.

What is Relationship Mapping?
A relationship map is a visual representation of the relationships between individuals. Maps can help display the connections (or a lack of connection) between these individuals. Relationship mapping can be used in a multitude of ways in Early Years settings including to look at the quality of the key person, groups of children and/or relationships with staff.

During this session you will have a chance to learn more about relationship mapping as a concept and begin to explore how relationships work in your setting and how connections support individual as well as groups of children.
