Learning outcomes
By the end of the course delegates should be able to;
- Describe the legal and policy framework within which this aspect of the work is set.
- Identify the different difficult and challenging behaviours and understand the causes of these.
- Develop assertiveness strategies and understand the difference between passive, aggressive and assertive behaviour.
- Explore the importance of risk assessment and good care plans in managing these behaviours
This course does not provide any guidance about breakaway or physical intervention techniques.
