Suitable for advisors who have attended the 2-day stop smoking advisor training and would like to refresh their knowledge, skills and confidence. This annual update counts as 1 CPD point.

Learning outcomes
Applicants will be given a ‘refresher’ in the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to deliver the full level two smoking cessation intervention. Outcomes include:
• Refresh knowledge, skills and confidence in supporting smokers to stop
• Develop communication skills in order to build rapport and boost motivation and self-efficacy of clients
• Refresh knowledge of tobacco addiction and stop smoking medications
• Refresh knowledge and skills in providing behavioural support
• Refresh knowledge, skills and confidence in supporting smokers to stop
