PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CURRENT SITUATION THIS TRAINING SESSION IS NOW BEING DELIVERED VIRTUALLY USING MICROSOFT TEAMS.
THIS WILL NOW BE DELIVERED IN TWO PARTS - PART A 7TH SEPT 2020 AND PART B 16TH SEPT 2020.
YOU WILL NEED TO ATTEND A RAISING SAFEGUARDING CONCERNS COURSE BEFORE ATTENDING THIS TRAINING. Managers of agencies that provide services for adults at risk must ensure they lead a "safe service", with competent staff and an organisational culture that safeguards adults. This 1-day workshop will help delegates to understand and be accountable for the key factors in managing and preventing organisational abuse in the services they lead and/or review. Learning outcomes
By the end of the programme delegates will be able to:
1. Explain the pre-disposing risk factors for abuse/neglect within organisations/care services, including staff values, work culture and physical environment.
2. Identify any predisposing risk factors within own service OR services visited and take practical steps to address these.
3. Describe the organisational safeguarding process within South Gloucestershire including own role within this.
4. Apply a person-centred approach in safeguarding practice in line with the legal framework and local policies and procedures
