This is a lunchtime talk from Dr Ed Griffiths on reducing the incidence and impact of chronic conditions such as heart disease and stroke through preventative medicine.

Dr Griffiths will draw on case studies from his experience as a GP to give out examples of environmental and other factors that can impact on a person’s health. He will talk about how this can impact on patient’s risks of developing chronic diseases, and what can be done to prevent conditions emerging or developing through opportunities at routine appointments with patients including through the NHS Health Check.

Dr Griffiths is a GP at Tyntesfield Medical Group and co-founder of BristolHealthLab.com

There will be a presentation and an opportunity for discussion and questions.
