Event description
South Gloucestershire Council Early Years Team are proud to work with Cambium Sustainable, whose courses are organised in units and credits that can make up your qualification.

You have completed your Forest School Level 3 Leaders qualification so can also offer you the opportunity, through additional training, to top up the units and convert your current work to become a Curriculum Outdoor Coordinator.

The Level 3 Award in Co-ordination of an Outdoor Curriculum fits the needs of educational professionals and the EYFS & national curriculum. It focuses on developing practical hands-on skills & a range of activities and experiences to use outdoors, developing your outdoor space and grounds.

Do you want to build on your current training, knowledge and experience and consider how to further develop the outdoor space? Or enhance the clubs that currently happen outdoors in your school or setting? This is an opportunity to build confidence to successfully cascade information across your settings and embed outdoor learning in your setting. This is different to Forest School training taking a whole strategic approach to using outdoor environments for teaching, education and learning.
Learning outcomes
Our aims and objectives are to -
To understand how to implement the sustainable use of natural learning resources.
To develop a bank of practical hands- on skills and activities in order to plan a year round Outdoor Learning Curriculum programme and cascade to others.
To audit and reflect on existing provision and practice, creating procedures and best practice guidelines for coordinating provision as a whole curriculum / educational strategy.
