Event description
When faced with the challenging behaviours of a traumatised child we can become amongst other things, irritable, anxious, hopeless and overwhelmed. The intensity of the stress can make us feel inadequate, manipulated, exhausted and depressed. Gill Tree, founder of Adoption Academy is a master practitioner in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and provided stress management training for 22 years. She also founded and owned for 22 years, the UK’s largest school of massage. She was a respite foster carer for 2 years prior to adoption in 2011 and is now focusing on therapeutic touch and resilience programmes for adoptive parents and foster carers. Gill is a member of the International Stress Management Association. Writer for Adoption Today and Adoption UK Trainer
