Safeguarding Adults Board Conference 2019 "Getting It Right: Mental Capacity”

Keynote speaker: Alex Ruck Keene, an experienced barrister from 39 Essex Chambers whose practice focuses on mental capacity and mental health law.  
A number of workshops will run during the day. Each delegate will have the opportunity to attend two of the workshops. Sign-up for workshops will be during conference registration in the morning, between 8.45am and 9.30am.

The cost to attend the Conference is: £50 per delegate.

Keynote Speaker Alex Ruck Keene is an experienced barrister, writer and educator. His practice is focused on mental capacity and mental health law, on which he provides specialist advice and representation, as well as delivering expert training for front line professionals. He is the creator of the website http://www.mentalcapacitylawandpolicy.org.uk/, providing resources and expert commentary on some of the most difficult mental capacity issues.

There will also be a choice of workshops for delegates. The workshops will focus on different aspects of mental capacity, for example:

* Best Interest Decision-Making
* Advance Planning and the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
