Event description
This course provides essential underpinning knowledge and skills practice to enable staff to develop their competence in engaging with service users who are often thought of as hard to reach. This is initial core training before attending the three module Direct Assessment and Intervention Skills training. The standard charge for this course is £80 per day. Learning outcomes
Increased understanding of the basic principles and processes of relationships and communication. Reflection on own individual preferred styles of communication and understand the impact of these on their working relationships and effectiveness. Consider the different ways in which people relate and communicate. Gain knowledge and skills that will improve their own ability to connect with people who have different relationship and communication styles and needs.
