Event description
This course is for the SENCO in your setting or assistant SENCo who are working directly with identified children with SEND.
This course, which comprises a block of 4 face to face twilight sessions, some preparatory work and gap tasks has been designed to support your setting through the SEND process. It will support you to gather quality evidence to make a request for an Education Health Care Needs Assessment.
Learning outcomes
To further develop the knowledge and understanding of SENCOs with regard to the SEND Code of Practice in the early years resulting in confidence building for relevant staff with processes and working to support children with SEND .
To develop practitioner skills in supporting children with SEND.
To support the development of high quality record keeping which accurately reflects the child’s needs.
