Event description
This training is aimed at managers who want to improve how they manage difficult conversations with members of their team. The content is primarily focused on maintaining good levels of performance within teams, but can be used to support other conversations such as those when managing change. This day will provide a range of tools and techniques that will help you be more confident in difficult situations. The standard charge for this course is £80 per day but for council employees there is no charge.
Learning outcomes
Provide information on the causes of and issues surrounding difficult conversations. Provide tools people can use to prepare for and manage difficult conversations. Give an opportunity to practice the skills involved in having difficult conversations. Develop your understanding of communication styles and approaches. Help you adapt your style to different people and situations. Consider emotions within difficult conversations. Consider the support available for managers. Action planning for your own °difficult° conversations.
