This course is for new or aspiring EYFS leaders in schools who want to develop and understand the role while improving outcomes for all children.


Are you the EYFS lead in your school? Are you looking to move into this role? Are you feeling a little isolated and unsure of exactly what being the EYFS leader involves? Are you in the pursuit of excellence and have an uncompromising drive to improve outcomes for all children in EYFS? If so, this course is for you.

During the two sessions we will unpick the roles and responsibilities of the EYFS leader in school. We will look at three themes:

· Leading teaching and learning
Analysing, understanding and using data
Observing and monitoring practice

· Leading others
Motivating and inspiring your team on your journey to outstanding
Implementing change
Preparing for inspection

· Leading innovation
Creative thinking to action plan and improve outcomes for all children
Learning outcomes
To equip new EYFS leaders with the skills to carry out their role.

To understand the expectations of the EYFS leader during an Ofsted inspection.
