Event description
This course will develop Outdoor Learning and Forest School awareness and practice. We will look at different types of play and learning to support child development. We will introduce basic woodland skills, using tools, identifying risks, hazards and benefits to help you in starting to develop your own practice in the natural environment. This is a QCF accredited course through Cambium. You will have a work book to hand in, in order to complete the course.
Please bring a packed lunch as lunches will not be provided.
This course is aimed at practitioners who would like to start their outdoor journey, building knowledge and confidence.
Entry requirements:
None, however DBS and suitable first aid qualification is advised.

To introduce outdoor learning and its benefits to child development.
To learn and develop practical skills in an outdoor environment.
To develop safe practices for outdoor work and the knowledge of how to deal with incidents.
