This Continuing Professional Development training is aimed at Level 3 Forest School Leaders

Forest School Leaders will have the opportunity to build confidence lighting fires and develop their practical skills to enhance their safe practice.

There will be opportunities to further enhance knowledge when siting, lighting and extinguishing fires to include the use of a kelly kettle.

We will cook a small snack during this time.

We will be outside for the entire session whatever the weather. Waterproofs, stout walking boots/welly boots and warm clothing is advised.
Learning outcomes

To revise and refresh using various fire and tinder techniques.

To consider and develop safe working practices and a dynamic risk assessment process.

To practise fire lighting using woks and kelly kettles.
