Event description
This course is for all experienced early years practitioners and those who have a particular interest in Maths. Do you support children who are not interested in the mathematical resources that you provide? Do you feel you may need a little more support and guidance to encourage your children to develop their mathematical development? Do you have difficulty in capturing their knowledge and understanding in your observations? This course will explore how to promote children’s mathematical development through the use of creative activities, resources and experiences. During the session we will discuss the challenges of capturing children’s mathematical knowledge through observations and the importance of the adult role in fostering children’s mathematical development.
