This 1-day course should only be attended once you have completed the Advanced-level Domestic Violence & Abuse training. It will build on the learning and skills gained through completing previous Domestic Abuse courses (e.g. at Intermediate and Advanced-levels).
Learning outcomes
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants should:
* Have an understanding of the types of violence within domestic abuse and the typology of perpetrators of that abuse.
* An understanding of and confidence in their role within multi-agency working within domestic abuse.
* Feel confident in identifying and working with denial.
* Be more confident in understanding the implications of working with perpetrators.
* An appreciation for the different types of interventions that are appropriate and safe to apply when engaging with perpetrators.
